Les équipes d’animation se sont lancées dans l’aventure à la suite de Ladybug et ses compagnes de voyage à 6 pattes.
Sur la base des intentions de Thomas Szabo, les animateurs, sous la houlette de Thomas Monti et Guionne Leroy à Liège, se faufilent tels des acteurs dans la peau des insectes et ce sont eux qui donnent vie aux personnages, nous donnant à voir les péripéties drôles et aventureuses des héros de Thomas et Hélène.
7 years ago Thomas Szabo directed a very unique short film, without dialogue and mixing computer-generated insects and real, non-animated landscape shots. After having discovered this film, French producer Philippe Delarue (Futurikon Films), immediately proposed to Thomas and to Hélène Giraud to develop a series of short programmes for TV and a theatrical feature film. This is Minuscule.A first then a second series of TV shorts were produced, earning critical and public acclaim worldwide. The film, which shares the same uniqueness but aims to be bigger and better, is going to need more time in the script writing and in the overall preparation. The shooting of the film, in 3D and cinemascope, starts today in the gorgeous settings of the South of France in the national parks of the Mercantour and the Ecrins.
