Lights and shadows are beautifully playing over nature as the sun is slowly rising. Rocks, weeds and trees are turning into strange colors. The team is trying to capture this incredibly peculiar setting … Shush, they’re shooting!
7 years ago Thomas Szabo directed a very unique short film, without dialogue and mixing computer-generated insects and real, non-animated landscape shots. After having discovered this film, French producer Philippe Delarue (Futurikon Films), immediately proposed to Thomas and to Hélène Giraud to develop a series of short programmes for TV and a theatrical feature film. This is Minuscule.A first then a second series of TV shorts were produced, earning critical and public acclaim worldwide. The film, which shares the same uniqueness but aims to be bigger and better, is going to need more time in the script writing and in the overall preparation. The shooting of the film, in 3D and cinemascope, starts today in the gorgeous settings of the South of France in the national parks of the Mercantour and the Ecrins. This is what this blog is all about.
